Welcome to the first ever Nirvana in Fire Fest.

This is where we prompt each other and create fanworks for each other.

This is where we possibly find our internet soul mates (omg you ship Xia Dong/Nihuang too?? ❤ ). 

This is where we form support groups because the AANNNGGGSSTTT IS REAL (why is Jingyan’s life so hard? T___T ).

Since our beloved drama is Chinese, we will be using CST (which is kind of fair since it is probably nobody’s timezone)

• What fanworks are allowed?

ALL fanworks are welcome, including the following:

fanfic (in any form)
fanart, fan comics 
fanvid
fanmix
gifset
craft
translation
ETC
Any type of creative endeavor that you an think about! If you are unsure/need help, let us know! :D We believe EVERYONE has something to contribute! 

• Are there restrictions on pairings?

All pairings are welcome. Gen is welcome. You want to write an entire fanfic about Mei Changsu’s sass? We want to read it.

• How do I submit a prompt?

Prompting is now closed, sorry! :( You can view all the submitted prompts via our GDOC. 

• How do I claim a prompt?

• When claiming, please list your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. If your first choice has not been claimed, then you will get it. If your first choice has been claimed, then you will get your next choice. Claims are taken on a first come, first serve basis.

• Please specify your fanwork medium. You may be given your first choice prompt even if that prompt is already taken, if the fanwork mediums are different - eg: if one person is creating a fanart and the other is writing fanfic.

• If you finish a prompt, CHOSE ANOTHER ONE. We mean it. Come back to us and claim another prompt. There are more fabulous prompts than Lin Chen’s pigeons can poke at, so let’s do our best to make a dent! 

• Fanfiction specific rule: the minimum word count is 1,000 words.

• Yes, you may claim your own prompts.

• Claiming is open until July 30th 2016 (posting begins August 1st 2016)

• Is this an Anonymous fest?

Yes. While the prompting part will be open. We do think it will be more fun if the submissions are kept secret until the reveals. 

Once the fest is over, the writers/artists/creators will be revealed! 

Please do not post your fanwork anywhere else before the reveals. Once the reveals are up, you may cross post anywhere you like.

• How do I post?

For fanfics, mods will be creating a Nirvana in Fire Fest collection at AO3. 

For fanarts and other fanworks, please email us your submissions. We will be posting them on this blog so that the submissions will remain anonymous until the reveals. As noted above, once reveals are up, you can cross post anywhere you like.

• What if I finish early?

Email us and claim another prompt! NO RESTRICTIONS APPLY when you are claiming your second/third/fourth/etc prompt! You can claim prompts that are already claimed by another creator and create a fanwork of the same medium. ;D 

• What if I need to drop out?

We understand life happens. Just send us a message/chat so that we know. We can then open that prompt up to other people.

• What if I have FEEELLLSSS about my submission?
